[Thoughts on mindset...cognizant that we aren't in control but how often I try...]
I have been thinking a lot
about how to enter this year --
a year that comes whether I'm ready
or not,
whether I've asked it to
or not...
it doesn't make any difference.
Time passes.
So how shall I spend it so it doesn't spend me?

I walk into the room
not able to fix
nor change
nor answer.
There it is.
Can't wrap my hands around it
so I leave them open.
